Rapper Inky drops the official visual for "Island Slang"

Caribbean rap artist Inky has been making waves for some time in the industry and has accumulated thousands of plays/views over the years.

(PRUnderground) October 18th, 2020

Inky is a rising artist from the Island of Sint Maarten and has been paving his own way these last few years. He was featured in a Sint Maarten cypher back in 2013 with other artist from the island. Up until December 2019 he was just “testing the waters” with his music.

Inky solidified his stake in the music industry by starting his own record label called Ink Gang in 2019. Ink Gang is his way of pushing forth and doing it all on his own without the assistance of a label.

“Island Slang”, his latest release, comes on the heels of other tracks like “Stunt”, “Proud of That”, & “All I Know” which were all released earlier this year.

He released the visual to the song “Island Slang”, which was released in July following the visual of his song “Proud of that” featuring Rude that was dropped back in May of 2020. “Island Slang” is one of Inky’s personal favorites. The song acquired its name from what some call “island slang” such as “back out the tool” and a few other phrases that are commonly used on the island of Sint Maarten. He likes this song because he says it reminds him of home. He feels all of his music is “creative and well organized” not just limited to “Island Slang”. Collectively his music has accumulated thousands of views over the course of the year, with “Island Slang” in the lead with the most plays and views at the moment. He plans to drop many more songs similar to Island Slang but with their own unique melody. “Each song will be different but the same because it’s going to be the same me and I can’t just change and do something or be someone different”, Inky added.

His dropped music has all proudly been published independently under his label, Ink Gang. Ink Gang is Ultra-modern, bass heavy full of lyricism, and Good melodies label. The tracks showcase the full potential of Inky as a Hip-Hop Superstar. Inky is a studio Powerhouse that spends hours in the studio who is focused on perfecting his craft, and bringing good content to the world, the industry and most importantly his fans. We are sure Inky plans on releasing more music soon, so be on the look out for more songs like Island Slang.

SINGAPORE — Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel took advantage of an early pit stop to win the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday and end a 13-month winless streak in Formula One. Vettel, who started third on the grid, crossed the finish line 2.641 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc — who was unhappy with team pit strategy — in a Ferrari 1-2. It was four-time F1 champion Vettel's first win since the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix. "Obviously the start of the season has been difficult for us but in recent weeks we started to come alive," Vettel said. "It's been incredible to...

Hamilton looking to extend F1 lead at Singapore Grand Prix

Oct 27, 2020

SINGAPORE — Lewis Hamilton aims to turn up the heat in his bid for a sixth Formula One championship at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver heads into Sunday's race with a 63-point lead over teammate Valtteri Bottas. As with last year's race, drivers can expect sweltering heat and humidity. In addition to the heat, a thick haze has set in over the city-state with advisories issued from the national government over "unhealthy" air conditions. Hamilton will be hoping for a repeat of the 2018 race here when he won comfortably from pole position to extend his championship...

Mother's voice pierces Malaysia jungle in search for girl

Oct 27, 2020

SEREMBAN, Malaysia — Malaysian rescuers stepped up their search Friday for a 15-year-old London girl who vanished from a nature resort six days ago by playing voice recordings of her mother and brought in members of an elite commando force as they combed the hilly forest terrain. "Nora darling, Nora, Nora, Mummy's here," the voice of Meabh Quoirin rang out through loudspeakers carried by rescuers, piercing the jungle silence. The family of Nora Anne Quoirin discovered her missing Sunday morning from the Dusun eco-resort in southern Negeri Sembilan state. Police believe the teen climbed out through a window in the...

Boeing 737 Max 8 woes crimp Asian airlines' growth plans

Oct 27, 2020

SINGAPORE — Asian airlines are cutting routes, revamping their schedules and leasing extra aircraft to fill gaps left by the grounding of Boeing 737 Max 8s after deadly crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia killed 346 people. So far, regional carriers have managed to avoid major disruptions, but analysts expect that idling the Max 8s, a fuel-efficient update of Boeing's popular 737, will crimp growth plans in the near future. As investigations into the crashes continue, Boeing anticipates a $1 billion increase in costs related to the 737 Max, including fixing software implicated in the disasters, adding pilot training and compensating...

The United Nations has called the laws implemented April 3 "draconian" while the U.S. and several other countries have urged Brunei to halt its plans. Celebrities including George Clooney, Elton John and Ellen DeGeneres have rallied for a boycott of nine hotels in the U.S. and Europe linked to Brunei. Even before 2014, homosexuality was already punishable in Brunei by a jail term of up to...
